Dress Code

 

*The following proper dress codes must be followed to ensure the safety of the students, as well as to permit the teacher an unobstructed view of the dancer to ensure that proper techniques are being learned. Dancers should always wear the appropriate footwear. Please adhere to the following:

BALLET / JAZZ COMBO (Levels 1-3)

  • Clothing (Boys): White T-Shirt & Black Fitted Shorts

  • Clothing (Girls): Any Color Leotard & Capezio - Ballet Light Pink Tights | Skirts Optional

  • Hair: Pulled back high bun, or slicked back low pony

  • Shoes (Boys): Black Capezio Ballet

  • Shoes (Girls): Pink Capezio Lily (Ballet) | Tan Bloch Pulse (Jazz)

BALLET / POINTE / PBT (Levels 4-8)

  • Clothing (Boys): White T-Shirt & Black Fitted Shorts

  • Clothing (Girls): Any color Leotard & Capezio Light Pink Tights | Skirts Optional

  • Hair:  Pulled back high bun, or slicked back low pony

  • Shoes (Boys): Black Canvas Ballet

  • Shoes (Girls): Light Pink Capezio Hanami

CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL (All Levels)

  • Clothing (Boys / Girls): Form fitting clothing

  • Hair: Pulled back high bun, or slicked back low pony

  • Shoes (Boys/Girls): Tan Bloch Pulse (required for recital)

*Teachers may approve barefoot/sock dancing in class at times.

HIP HOP (All Levels)

  • Clothing (Boys / Girls): Loose Fitting Clothing

  • Hair: Up and out of face

  • Shoes (Boys / Girls): Non-Marking Tennis Shoes (No Boots / Black Soles)

JAZZ / MUSICAL THEATRE (Levels 4-8)

  • Clothing (Boys): Athletic Clothing

  • Clothing (Girls): Form Fitting Clothing | Booty Shorts Permitted

  • Hair: Up and out of face

  • Shoes (Boys): Tan Bloch Pulse (required for recital)

  • Shoes (Girls): Tan Bloch Pulse (required for recital)

TAP (All Levels)

  • Clothing (Boys): Loose Fitting Clothing

  • Clothing (Girls): Loose Fitting Clothing | Form Fitting w/ Leggings Permitted

  • Hair: Up and out of face

  • Shoes (Level 1-5): Tan Bloch Tap Ons (#S0302) |

  • Boys Shoes (Level 1-5): Black Bloch Children’s Jazz Tap Leather Tap Shoes (#S0301G)

  • Shoes (Level 6-8): Black Bloch Respects (#S0361)
